The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, yesterday received in his office his colleague from the Dominican Republic, Miguel Vargas Maldonado, with whom he noted the «excellent» state of bilateral relations and coincided in the desire to promote a more frequent exchange of institutional visits and a substantive bilateral political dialogue, according to a note from the Diplomatic Information Office (OID).
Ministers Borrell and Vargas also reviewed the main issues on the bilateral, regional and multilateral agendas, including the situation in Nicaragua and Venezuela, as well as the role of Spanish companies and the work of the Spanish Cooperation in the Dominican Republic.
