Israel’s Minister of Tourism, Yariv Levin, announced yesterday the opening of a new direct air line without stopovers between Madrid and Eilat, capital of the Red Sea (in the south of the country), operated by Air Europa, which will allow the company to have nine weekly flights between Madrid and Israel (the other eight connect Spain’s capital with Tel Aviv).
Levin, who is on an official visit in Spain, made the announcement with the managing director of Globalia, Javier Hidalgo; the director of Expansion of this tourist group, Lisandro Menu-Marque; and Israel’s Ambassador to Madrid, Daniel Kutner. The new direct flight, which will have a weekly frequency, will start to work on October 30 and will operate until March 26.
