The artist and cartoonist from Equatorial Guinea Ramón Esono Ebalé presents the exhibition Obi’s nightmare in Habitar la Línea (91 Amparo Street, Madrid). Esono was in prison in Equatorial Guinea because of his publications against the dictator Teodoro Obiang, and now that he is free, he is presenting his work in Madrid.
The artist received great international support of entities such as Amnesty International or Cartoonits Rights Network International (CRNI). Obi’s Nighmare is a crazy story in which Obiang wakes up one day turned into an ordinary man from Equatorial Guinea, who barely gets by in the streets of Malabo. This is a story that has become a milestone and has circulated clandestinely from hand to hand, turning into a cult object in Equatorial Guinea.
