This afternoon at 19:30 hrs, Instituto Cervantes of Madrid pays tribute to the Galician writer Emilia Pardo Bazán (La Coruña, 1851 – Madrid, 1921), a tireless reader and young writer that published books of poems, novels and around 600 stories grouped in several collections.
Pardo Bazán was a famous figure in the cultural, literary and social spheres because of the wide range of topics she covered as novelist, poetess, journalist, translator, literary critic, publisher, university professor and lecturer. Now, the Círculo de Orellana, in collaboration with Instituto Cervantes, pays tribute to her with this eighth conference of the series Spanish women to discover, by Darío Villanueva Prieto, director of the Real Academia Española and honorary president of the Sociedad Española de Literatura General y Comparada.
