Japan Foundation and San Fernando Fine Arts Royal Academy organize the exhibition Yōkai: iconography of the fantastic, which may be visited between July 17 and September 23 at the Academy’s headquarters in Madrid (Alcalá Street, 31 ), on the occasion of the commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Spain.
The exhibition will show an exclusive selection of pieces from the ancient collection on yōkai of Koichi Yumoto (currently a collection of the city of Miyoshi, in the Hiroshima prefecture), with which visitors will enjoy the rich Japanese iconography of the fantastic.
